Why ride the Tour de France

For over 100 years the Tour de France has captured the imagination of the world's cycling fraternity. It has earned a reputation as the greatest cycling challenge in the world and every year literally millions of fans line the route to see their heroes in action. Over three weeks in July, the professional peloton cycle thousands of kilometres, taking in the best that France has to offer. The wine regions, the farming lands of the north, the Alps, the Pyrenees, Provence are all visited in this wonderful sporting spectacular.

Cycling the entire route is a challenge only the pros are up to, but now we are proud to offer you the opportunity to cycle up to three of the 2008 stages of the Tour. You will cycle three complete, fully-supported, stages – the same ones that you'll see on TV in July.

For the keen cyclist this is the ultimate cycling holiday. All you need do is arrive with your bike at the pre-arranged airport. That will be the start of your great adventure. We'll look after and guide you from there. At the end of your trip you will have achieved what only a select few professional cyclists get to do – you will have conquered the Tour. You will be able to watch the pros on TV and say "I did that!".

Now that really is the ultimate cycling adventure.
