Making your booking

Before you book we recommend that you have read carefully the general information, booking conditions and holiday schedule.

To book your place, please telephone us on 0871 200 3011 (or email enquiries@rideletour.com) to check the availability of places on your chosen date. If spaces are still available we will send you (by email or post) your booking form. Please send a fully completed booking form and your deposit of £200 per person, If you book less than eight weeks before departure full payment is due at the time of booking.

Confirmation

On receipt of your booking form, we will send you confirmation of your booking and your invoice along with our Information Pack, which includes detailed information about your holiday with Ride le Tour.

Method of Payment

Payments can be made by cheque, postal order, credit or debit cards and bank transfer. NB. Although there is no additional charge for using debit cards, there will be an additional 2% charge if paying by credit card.

Terms & Conditions

All Ride le Tour holidays are booked under and subject to the following conditions:

  1. By making the booking you have agreed that you have read all the information and schedule of your chosen holiday and these booking conditions. You must contact us prior to making your booking if you are unsure of any element of your holiday. To make a booking you must send us a completed booking form and non-refundable deposit for each person. We will then invoice you the remainder of the cost, which you must pay no later than two calendar months before departure. If you book less than eight weeks before departure full payment must be made on booking. If the balance is not paid in time we reserve the right to cancel your holiday and apply the cancellation charges as detailed below. The booking is not accepted and no contract exists until the date shown on the confirmation invoice issued by Ride le Tour.
  2. If you need to cancel your holiday, this can only be done in writing by the person whose name the holiday is invoiced to. You will be liable to the following cancellation charges: (a) 56 days or more before the departure date you will forfeit your deposit, (b) more than 28 days and less than 56 days a 50% refund of the tour price will be made, (c) less than 28 days before the departure date no refund will be given.
  3. It is mandatory that to take part in any of our holidays you have arranged adequate insurance cover for baggage, medical expenses and the cost of repatriation should you become too ill to continue.
  4. Ride le Tour will not cancel your holiday unless (a) we are forced to do so by unusual or unforeseeable circumstances such as war; civil or political unrest; or what is usually known as ‘force majeure'; or (b) if the minimum number of participants needed to operate our holidays has not been met. In the latter case we will advise you no later than 28 days prior to departure.
  5. If Ride le Tour do have to cancel your holiday, we will if possible offer an alternative date. If this is not acceptable to you we will refund all payment made to us in respect of the tour cost, but we will not be liable to refund you for any damages and incidental expenses that you may have incurred as a result of your booking, such as visas, vaccinations, non-refundable flights etc.
  6. In making your booking you have acknowledged the risks and hazards of such a holiday, especially the dangers inherent in cycling. Your booking is accepted on the understanding that you realize the risks of such holidays in terms of the potential for delays and alterations, due to possible adverse weather, border restrictions, disease, loss or damage to Ride le Tour property, and any unforeseen circumstances.
  7. Our responsibility does not commence until the appointed time at the designated meeting point (usually the airport you fly into). If you fail to arrive there at the pre-arranged time, we will not be responsible for any additional expenses incurred by you to meet up with the group.
  8. It is entirely your responsibility to ensure you have organized all your pre-holiday arrangements including any medical vaccinations needed, ensuring your passport is current, arranged traveller's cheques etc and we accept no responsibility in the event that these are not completed in time for departure.
  9. No refund or rebate will be made or given for any unused air tickets, hotel accommodation, services or features of the tour.
  10. We shall not be held liable for any damages caused by the total, or partial failure to carry out the contract if such failure is: (a) attributable to the holiday participant; or (b) unforeseeable or unavoidable and attributable to a third party unconnected with Ride le Tour or (c) as a result of unusual and unforeseeable circumstances beyond our control such as strikes, war, civil or political unrest or government action or (d) a result of an event that we with all due care could not foresee or forestall or (e) due to the theft of bicycles or injury as a result of cycling and in particular injuries as a result of either inadequately maintained and serviced personal equipment or failure to wear the correct safety equipment particularly cycle helmets.
  11. Any complaints regarding the tour should be made to your tour leader who will normally find a solution locally. If at the end of the tour, you feel that your complaint was not dealt with properly and were not satisfied with the response, you must notify us of your complaint in writing within 28 days of the actual completion date of the return.
  12. When you sign the booking form you agree to accept all these conditions and when we accept your booking we agree to carry out our obligations as defined to you on this website. These booking conditions and the information in the Holidays section form the basis of the contract between you and Ride le Tour. If there is any discrepancy, please bring it to our attention to seek clarification. This agreement is made subject to, and must be interpreted and enforced by English Law.
  13. You agree to allow images taken of you and your party to be used for promotional purposes.
  14. You agree to ensure that the bike is adequately maintained and insured. We will take all reasonable care when transporting bikes, however we are not responsible financially for any damage caused by a third party during our trip or in transit to the start point of the holiday or damage occurred at any time during your holiday.
  15. If you disagree with any of the Terms and Conditions listed above please clearly indicate this to Ride le Tour before you book. If we cannot resolve or clarify your objection then you have free choice not to travel with us. If you agree to these terms and conditions then we are happy for you to book with us and look forward to riding with you soon.
  16. The booking conditions may only be waived by a Director of Cycle Adventures Limited in writing.
  17. The minimum permitted age of a client is 18 at the time of the departure date.
